Mack receives Kenneth J. Miller award in Texas
Melissa Mack, vice president at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, received the Kenneth J. Miller Water for People Founders’ Award during the 2025 Texas Water Conference, held March 20 in Houston. The award, established in 2001 by the Water For People board of directors, recognizes individuals who make significant volunteer contributions toward achieving universal access to safe, reliable water and sanitation. Named in honor of Kenneth J. Miller of Denver, a founding member and the organization’s first president, the award highlights outstanding service in support of global water initiatives. In Texas, the award is administered by the Water Environment Association of Texas and was presented as part of the Texas Water Conference, co-hosted by WEAT and the Texas Section of the American Water Works Association. The award honors volunteers who demonstrate exceptional dedication, leadership and impact in the water sector.
Kurita America announces successor to retiring CEO
Kurita America, part of the Kurita Group, has appointed Todd Emslander as its new chief executive officer. This announcement aligns with the planned retirement of his predecessor, Greg Becker, a 40-year veteran of the water treatment industry who has guided the company through significant change and growth. Kurita America is the combined representation of a number of legacy brands including U.S. Water Services, Fremont Industries, Tonka Water, Keytech Water Management and, most recent, Avista Technologies.
Transcend and AqueoUS Vets partner to treat PFAS
Transcend announced a strategic partnership with AqueoUS Vets to accelerate the design and proposal processes for AV’s filtration technologies. The collaboration enables AV to combine its engineering experience with the Transcend Design Generator to accelerate the design and development of reliable and innovative PFAS filtration solutions, helping utilities and engineering firms respond faster to regulatory requirements.
ICONICS changes name to Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions
ICONICS has been rebranded as Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions. The new name and adoption of the Mitsubishi Electric logo will enhance the company’s market recognition by clarifying the relationship with its parent company, while retaining the legacy of Iconics within the rebranded name. While the company name and logo have changed, all other aspects of the business remain the same. There has been no change to management, structure, products, services, bank information and current contract agreements.
