As part of its ongoing commitment to securing water access for communities around the world, Grundfos recently unveiled the
SE Range 52. The pumps are heavy-duty, submersible water and wastewater pumps designed to be used across municipal, industrial and commercial sectors for demanding tasks like water supply and transfer, process water and integration into remote monitoring systems. In addition, they can be utilized in sewage transport, industrial wastewater treatment, stormwater management and handling raw sewage with solids, thanks to their high-efficiency S-tube impellers.
According to Grundfos, they are a solution to help utilities build storm-ready resilience and gain real-time control of water and sewer networks through predictive analytics that anticipate issues, extension of infrastructure life and optimization of operations.
“We know water is more than a resource, it is the foundation of life,” says Ask Moller-Nielsen, head of solutions and marketing water utility at Grundfos. “Water has the power to change the world, shaping the lives of people, businesses and entire ecosystems. But it is also a finite resource, facing ever increasing pressure from climate change, aging infrastructure and urbanization.”
Key benefits of SE Range 52 pumps include superior clog-free operation, as the S-TUBE impeller moves fibrous material effectively, preventing blockages and ensuring continuous flow. The pump’s advanced hydraulics provide efficient performance with lower energy consumption, reducing operating costs.
Designed for both submerged and dry/submerged applications, models are available for handling drainage, surface water and wastewater. High hydraulic efficiency and reliable clogging resistance lead to reduced maintenance and lower total cost of ownership. The pumps are constructed out of quality materials to withstand tough conditions, offering long-term reliability. Features like dry-run protection and moistureproof cable entry enhance pump longevity. It’s part of a solution to help utilities transform into water protectors.
“Reaching 300 million people with clean drinking water by 2030 is a bold ambition, but we have a plan to achieve it,” says Hamed Heyhat, CEO of the Water Utility division at Grundfos. “Water access is too large for anyone to solve in isolation. We believe we can be a catalyst for collaboration, bringing partners together from across the ecosystem to drive change.”
