AdEdge Water Technologies joins Endress+Hauser OEM program
Endress+Hauser announced AdEdge Water Technologies joined its OEM Business Partner Program. As part of the OEM Business Partner Program, AdEdge Water Technologies will develop its specifications around Endress+Hauser technologies and provide those technologies across AdEdge solutions sets.

Aqua-Aerobic partners with Pinnacle Ozone Solutions
Aqua-Aerobic Systems and Pinnacle Ozone Solutions have signed an agreement that confirms Aqua-Aerobic Systems as the exclusive municipal distributor for Pinnacle’s ozone generation systems. The products will be marketed under the Aqua ElectrOzone M-Series brand

Matthew Latino appointed director of investor relations for Xylem
Xylem Inc. has named Matthew Latino director of investor relations, effective immediately. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s investor relations program, providing the investment community with an accurate presentation of Xylem’s strategy, business performance and growth plans.

Xylem and Water Environment & Reuse Foundation extend research partnership
Xylem recently announced its commitment to a renewed research partnership with the Water Environment & Reuse Foundation (WE&RF). The multi-year commitment (2017-19) to support WE&RF research into water reuse builds on a previous three-year research partnership and solidifies Xylem’s commitment to advancing the use of recycled water.

Severn Trent – North America and Central Basin Municipal Water District team up
The Central Basin Water District has selected Severn Trent – North America to provide operations and maintenance for the Central Basin Municipal Water District’s recycled water system through a public-private partnership. The five-year contract includes an additional five-year renewal option. A key element of the project is the development and implementation of an asset management program using a Hansen Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Frost & Sullivan recognize Baswood Corportaion with Tech Innovation Award
Based on its recent analysis of the North American biological wastewater treatment market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Baswood Corporation with the 2017 Technology Innovation Award. Baswood uses proven fixed-film, fixed-media wastewater treatment solutions by sequencing technologies in a unique way. Baswood received two patents that form the basis of its products. The patents are for the Aerobic/Anaerobic Integrated Media System (AIMS) and its Dry Cycle Aerobic/Anaerobic Digestion (DCAD) solution, which is used in the AIMS.

Texas flood plan reduces risk to Houston utilities: Fitch
The development of a statewide flood plan by the Texas Water Development Board would reduce operational risk to both water and sewer utilities, according to Fitch Ratings. A comprehensive plan would further assist utilities in managing operational risk, offer regional options for funding projects and possibly assist in achieving regulatory requirements. Utilities could also benefit from new supply sources if new reservoirs were built and from lower capital spending that would stem sanitary sewer overflows.

WEF releases Design of Water Resource Recovery Facilities, Manual of Practice No. 8
The Water Environment Federation (WEF) has released a new edition of Design of Water Resource Recovery Facilities, MOP 8. As the water sector’s premier manual of practice for water resource recovery facility design, the sixth edition features a single-volume format that makes it easier to reference the latest guidance on procedures to effectively design or upgrade a recovery facility.
