The more complicated the chemical dosing system is in your plant, the more chances there are for leaks and breakdowns. The DICE System is Meunier Technologies’ solution to provide a simple, compact and reliable chemical dosing system for all dosing applications.

According to Vincent Meunier, president of Meunier Technologies, it’s an effort to make high quality chemical dosing systems accessible to all – meaning minimal to no specific expertise or tools required.

“While visiting water treatment plants, something became obvious. The appearance of leaks on the dosing systems was a challenge, and there was no magic solution to try and avoid them,” says Meunier. “The systems had the tendency of being complex, required periodic repairs, custom engineering and took up a lot of floor space. The idea was to try and simplify everything by having a block integrated approach.”

In its simplest form, the system integrates a chemical dosing pump, dosing module and a calibration column all mounted on a unique panel. These components allow for system safety, precision, reliability while having maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities. It’s either sold as a complete preplumed and tested package or as individual boxed components to be assembled in a treatment plant in a few simple quick steps.

With its machined standard block design, the DICE offers a comprehensive and reliable solution to address leak challenges in chemical dosing applications. It has the ability of having fewer connections, while significantly reducing the required footprint compared to the typical approach. This also minimizes downtime and the costs of operation, replacements, repairs and damages to the facility. The block includes all the components found in a dosing system: ball valves, pressure gauge with isolator, bleed valve, a pressure relief valve and a backpressure valve that allows for constant chemical output, while also serving as a reliable anti-syphon and check valve.

Since it is a one-box product (skid in a box), it makes it easy to buy, stock, support and replace, according to Meunier. There is minimal fluid volume to ease system pressurization. It offers troubleshooting within seconds, and its vertical configuration is designed to help limit gas lock conditions. It is a standard design that suits any system, with limited tools and expertise required, which makes it easy to retrofit.

“Water treatment plants operators love its see-through aspect, intuitive design and its reduced footprint. it facilitates the access around the system and makes it easy to troubleshoot,” says Meunier. The DICE System is available with wetted parts material in acrylic, PVC, CPVC and PVDF, making it compatible with a wide range of chemicals.
