Charlie Jones, director of operations at Iowa American Water, was named 2011 Customer Service Hero by the Iowa Section of the American Water Works Association during its annual Customer Service Conference in Altoona.

CH2M HILL received the 2011 WateReuse International Award from the WateReuse Association for the Luggage Point Advanced Water Treatment Plant Project in Brisbane, Australia.

Clean Water Action presented three Cape Cod organizations with the John O’Connor Grassroots Leadership Award at Clean Water Action of Massachusetts’ 17th Annual Benefit: GreenCAPE of Barnstable, the Citizens for Economic and Ecological Sustainability (CEES) of Falmouth, and the Orleans Citizens’ Peer Review Panel.

The Wisconsin Water Association recognized the City of Janesville water utility for its approach and achievements in water use and energy efficiency, particularly efforts to encourage water conservation, reduce water loss, provide rebates for high-efficiency fixtures, install variable-speed drives on pumps, and other initiatives.
