Anton Chilton appointed to Seeq board of directors

Seattle, Washington-based Seeq has appointed Anton Chilton to the Seeq board of directors, effective immediately. Chilton brings more than three decades of global technology leadership to Seeq, most recently serving as CEO of QAD, a leading SaaS provider of ERP and supply chain solutions for global manufacturing companies. Over a multi-decade tenure at QAD, Chilton held leadership roles across sales, marketing and professional services.  


Grundfos completes acquisition of Newterra

Danish company Grundfos has completed the acquisition of the Pittsburgh-based water and wastewater treatment solutions company Newterra. Since 2020, Grundfos has completed a series of strategic acquisitions and plans to further strengthen its water treatment business. The company also aims to double its U.S. business by 2030 and recently announced that it will expand its production footprint by building a new plant in Brookshire, Texas, where the company has its U.S. headquarters. 


Xylem and Amazon partner on smart water upgrades

Residents in Mexico City and Monterrey will soon enjoy more reliable water supply as the two cities launch infrastructure upgrades to save over 1.3 billion liters of water a year — easing pressure from the rapid urbanization and persistent drought conditions that have strained local water systems. The two cities are working in partnership with Xylem and Amazon to deploy Xylem Vue, an advanced software platform that applies data and analytics to detect leaks, cut water losses and improve residents’ water supply. The projects are estimated to save upwards of 800 million liters of water per year in Mexico City and 560 million liters of water per year in Monterrey.

ResinTech announces three executive appointments 

ResinTech announced three key appointments to its executive team. Maureen Martin was promoted to chief people officer, Mike Annocki was promoted to chief operating officer, and Andrew McBride was appointed as chief financial officer. The executive team leads the ResinTech family of companies, including Aries Filterworks, Aqua Wholesale, ACM Technologies and VMX Technologies. Martin brings over 12 years of service to ResinTech, having joined the company in April 2013. Prior to ResinTech, she spent 23 years at Sea Gull Lighting Products. Annocki brings three decades of supply chain and operations management experience to his expanded leadership role. He joined ResinTech as a purchasing agent in 2011, and his role evolved from general manager in 2014 to vice president in 2019. McBride brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience across manufacturing, engineering and metals industries. Most recently, McBride served as vice president of finance and corporate development at Penn Engineering.

Ricardo Bernal joins WaterSurplus as Senior VP

WaterSurplus announced that Ricardo Bernal has joined the company as senior vice president of business development and sales. Bernal’s experience in the water industry spans more than 25 years and encompasses engineering, product management, project finance and business strategy, with deep technical expertise in water/wastewater, desalination, biosolids and PFAS. Immediately prior to joining WaterSurplus, he served as senior vice president of project development and strategy for Heartland Water Technology, where he was responsible for overseeing and managing globally all commercial aspects of the company’s projects under design-build/build-own-operate and recurring revenue models. He also spearheaded business development efforts for new markets and technologies within the water business.
