The Yam Grandy Water Pollution Control Facility in Swainsboro, Georgia, received the Gold Award from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals for the third year in a row.


The Kingsport (Tennessee) Water Treatment Plant earned the Partnership for Safe Water Director’s Award for the 15th consecutive year. The Kingsport Wastewater Treatment Plant received the National Association of Clean Water Agencies Silver Peak Performance Award.


Kyle Willman was named assistant public works director for Pendleton, Washington. He will continue to serve as operator of the city’s wastewater treatment and resource recovery facility.


Village leaders in Plover, Wisconsin, recognized wastewater department team member Mark Regnitz for 35 years of service ahead of his retirement. He has spent 45 years in the wastewater industry and previously worked for the village of Deansville.


The Nassau County Board of County Commissioners honored Danny White for 47 years with Nassau Amelia Utilities, including service as lead operator starting in 2011 and becoming a water/wastewater operator level 2 in 2017. He has retired. 


The City of Boise, Idaho, earned the Gold Peak Performance Award from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies.


Hardin County Water District No. 2 won the Award of Excellence for Plant Operations, Small System Category, for its City Springs Water Treatment Plant in Elizabethtown from the Kentucky/Tennessee Section AWWA.


The new Grants Pass (Oregon) Water Treatment Plant was named in honor of Jason M. Canady, public works director.


David Melton, Water Resources Director in Asheville, North Carolina for nine years, was named water and wastewater director of the Water Service Department in Rock Hill, South Carolina.


Eric Carty, Water and Sewer Department director for the town of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, retired after 36 years with the utility.


Cindy McCardle retired after 42 years with the city of Independence, Iowa, as a lab technician at the wastewater treatment plant.
