The Burrillville Wastewater Treatment Plant received the U.S. EPA 2023 Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance Excellence Award for Rhode Island.Ozzie Johnson, water and wastewater operator in Tulsa, Oklahoma, received the City Star Award of Safety Excellence from Mayor G.T. Bynum. The city said that while working on a water leak, Johnson noticed a person caught on the railroad tracks while a train was approaching and acted quickly to help the person off the tracks.The Ashland (Kentucky) Water Treatment Plant received a 2023 Certificate of Excellence in Water Quality from the State Area Wide Optimization Program.
