Headworks International Performance Monitor
Improper chain tension can lead to costly equipment damage and premature wear and tear. Headworks International’s Performance Monitor takes the guesswork out of maintenance by continuously assessing chain tension and providing alerts whenever anomalies in the screen performance occur. It senses vibrations outside of a defined range, which is indicative of a mechanical misalignment or loose chain, and triggers an immediate alert that will notify the operators that the bar screen requires attention. This alert can be a simple indicator light on the main control panel or fully integrated into a SCADA system. It can be seamlessly integrated into a new bar screen control system or retrofitted to an existing installation, helping protect investment, reduce downtime and maintain peak operating efficiency. 713-647-6667; www.headworksintl.com

Mazzei Chemical Mixing Reactor
The Mazzei Chemical Mixing Reactor is engineered for the rapid and efficient mixing of coagulants directly into a mainline flow. Its nozzle-based design creates a highly turbulent mixing zone with virtually no pressure loss, eliminating the need for excessive chemical dosing and reducing solids-handling requirements. With no moving parts, no maintenance needs and a compact footprint ideal for retrofits, it provides operators with a durable, low-maintenance solution, leading to improved coagulation, lower turbidity and TOC, enhanced UV transmittance and extended filter run times. 661-363-6500; www.mazzei.net
Paxxo Longopac Fill
The Longopac Fill continuous bag system from Paxxo can connect to the discharge point of machines used to move, dewater or compact screenings, grit and biosolids. Material is then deposited in a 90-meter-long continuous bag for odor containment and spillage control. The cassette bag can be sealed with ease and the material and odors are trapped inside, cutting down development of bacteria and fungus spores. 770-502-0055; www.paxxo.se/us
Trashology Pur-Gen
The Pur-Gen system from Trashology provides an on-site, closed-loop solution that converts biosolids into renewable thermal energy while destroying PFAS chemicals. Dried biosolids are pelletized into a high-density fuel, then cleanly gasified at more than 900 degrees C in a downdraft gasifier. The resulting syngas is combusted to produce clean heat that powers the dryer and is expected to destroy PFAS chemicals with 99.99% efficiency. The fully containerized, automated system requires only 640 to 1,200 square feet per module and processes 1 to 5 dry tons per day without an operator required. The gasifier’s high-temperature process produces a solid byproduct that is nutrient-rich biochar suitable for beneficial reuse. No offsite hauling for land application, landfilling or incineration is required, significantly reducing costs and regulatory risk. 978-264-0679; www.trashology.com
Biosolids Heaters/Dryers/Thickeners
ELODE USA Electro Osmosis Dehydrator
The Electro Osmosis Dehydrator from ELODE USA reduces disposal costs by drying sludge cake to half its weight or less. Its compact design integrates seamlessly with existing dewatering equipment. Rather than using heat, chemicals or mechanical forces, it uses only electricity, driving a rapid one-minute, electroosmosis process to separate water from solids. As a nonthermal dryer, it uses less energy than thermal ones, bypassing the inefficiency of evaporating water to steam. It also requires less peripheral equipment, making it a practical alternative to conventional thermal dryers by minimizing costs, space requirements and maintenance downtime. 201-568-7778; www.elodeusa.com

Lakeside Raptor Septage Acceptance Plant
Lakeside’s Raptor Septage Acceptance Plant is a self-contained, fully automated unit designed to remove debris and inorganic solids, including grease trap waste, that typically pass through a conventional bar screen. Anchored by the reliable Raptor Fine Screen, the unit is a simple, efficient way to pretreat the increasing amount of municipal, industrial and septic tank sludges processed at wastewater treatment plants. Lakeside’s heavy-duty, three-plane fine screen utilizes a rotating rake that passes through the full depth of the basket bars, removing debris from the screening area. The rotating rake deposits the collected screenings into the central screw conveyor hopper for washing, transport and compaction/dewatering. With the addition of aerated grit removal to the system, the unit is offered as the Raptor Septage Complete Plant. 630-837-5640; www.lakeside-equipment.com
Screening Systems
BioMicrobics MyTEE Vault
The MyTEE Vault screening system from BioMicrobics effectively separates and holds grit and nonbiological solids in a single vault for vacuum truck disposal as needed. The screens have a center handle and swab that can be raised and lowered to dislodge accumulated solids. It comes with strong holding brackets on top and bottom to hold it in place during surge flows. The top bracket has a formed pipe to allow the screened water to travel to the treatment plant. The top of the screen inside the top bracket has three engineered keyhole-shaped weirs. After the water is filtered and flows from the outside to the inside of the screen, the keyhole weirs attenuate surge flow as the water leaves the vault. It is almost always ahead of MyFAST and MacroFITT wastewater treatment and other similar treatment systems. 800-753-3278; www.biomicrobics.com
Evoqua Water Technologies Forty-X Disc Filter Armor Series
The Forty-X Disc Filter Armor Series from Evoqua Water Technologies is a high-rate filtration device that utilizes an integrated prescreen and stainless steel panels that are designed to accommodate high solids loading capacities and greater hydraulic throughput.
