Problem: The Eastern Treatment Plant at Australia Melbourne Water treats almost half of the city’s sewage and is the largest activated sludge plant in the Southern Hemisphere. The utility undertook an upgrade of the biogas handling system to make it more efficient, resilient and futureproof.
