Forget the static bar racks and screens and throw away the bar screen rake. It’s time for a highly efficient, continuously raked bar screen for your coarse screen water treatment needs at headworks, pump stations and storm overflows. The Chain & Rake Monster from JWC Environmental is designed to provide quick removal of heavy slugs of material in order to protect downstream processes. Its robust design is especially suited to quickly remove debris from heavy storm flows out of the channel and keep treatment systems running.

The Chain & Rake Monster features replaceable bar screen rake teeth that are bolted to the automated bar screen rake support, which is fastened to the chain on each side. They pass through a bottom guide track which avoids the necessity of sprockets and bearings in the sewage flow, increasing system life. For units that are 20 feet and deeper, JWC has a design for sprockets in the bottom to help reduce the loads on the chain.

  • Heavy-duty automated bar screen rake design to provide low cost of ownership
  • Easy installation with a fully assembled and self-contained screen shipped to the job site
  • Maintenance simplified with a pivot frame to easily access the bottom of the screen

  • Pivoted wiper with UHMW blade provides efficient debris removal
  • Replaceable bar screen rake teeth
  • All stainless steel construction of bar racks and screens

  • Bar rack spacing from 1/4 inch and up
  • Channel widths from 2 feet to 8 feet
  • Channel depths up to 25 feet and greater with a 5 feet maximum discharge height
