Utility Superintendent Jim Boyer of the Spring Hill (Kansas) Wastewater Treatment Plant takes viewers on a detailed tour of the facility. This great footage shows off the plant’s headworks building and Schreiber GR extended aeration activated sludge treatment process. Boyer also talks about how the city saved $70,000 on a digester basin renovation by doing the work in-house. “If we would have had to have hired it out to an outsourced service, then it would have cost about $100,000 to do this,” he says.
