The Canby (Oregon) Wastewater Treatment Plant received a Gold Peak Performance Award from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies for 100% permit compliance.
The Cullman (Alabama) Wastewater Treatment Plant received the 2023 Best Operated Plant Award in the Bio-Filter/Trickling Filter category from the Alabama Water & Pollution Control Association.
Jennifer Becker received Michigan Technological University’s 2024 Faculty Distinguished Service Award for her leadership in the SARS-CoV-2 wastewater testing program during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Town of Friday Harbor Sewer Treatment Plant won a 2023 Wastewater Treatment Plant Outstanding Performance Award from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

The Town of Payson, Arizona, named the town’s water treatment plant after Buzz Walker, longtime water department head.
Randy Gardinier, chief water plant operator for Amsterdam, New York, retired after 34 years with the department.
Brian Biesemeyer, executive director of the Scottsdale Water Department, retired after 12 years in the position.
