The Sweeney Water Treatment Plant in New Hanover County received Gold Star recognition from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Water Resources Division.The town of Friday Harbor received the Washington Department of Health Silver Award for consistently outperforming water quality standards every month for more than five years.
