James A. Floystrop, P.E., CME, associate and water resources senior project manager in Dewberry’s office in Parsippany, N.J., has been named president of the North Jersey Water Conference for a two-year term ending August 2013.

American Water Military Services Group President Jimmy Sheridan received a Patriot Award from the N.J. Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Sheridan was honored for his support of U.S. Army Reserves Major Glenn Battschinger (an operations manager in American Water’s Military Services Group), who took a 15-month leave of absence from work to serve as Civil Military Operations Center Officer in Afghanistan.

Illinois American Water has been selected by the American Water Works Association to receive the 2011 Communications Achievement Award for the company’s outreach regarding proper pharmaceutical disposal.

Bill Bischoff was recognized for outstanding service as a water operator for the Village of Wauneta, Neb. He received this award at the Nebraska Rural Water Association’s annual spring conference.
