Badger Meter Adds Florida Distributor
Badger Meter Inc. added Florida-based Innovative Metering Solutions Inc. to its sales network. Scott Cochrane and Steve Portlance co-manage the distributorship.
Severn Trent De Nora Names Burroughs Manager
Severn Trent De Nora named William Burroughs manager of its BALPURE ballast water treatment product line. He will be responsible for planning, organizing, integrating and expanding the product line as part of the company’s service to the marine wastewater treatment and seawater disinfection markets.
MWH Soft, Wallingford Software Merge
MWH Soft, provider of environmental and water resources applications software, merged with Wallingford Software, developer of water resource management software. Both provide hydraulic modeling software to water and wastewater utilities. The combined company will continue to provide support and development from its locations in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia and Malaysia.
SEL Chosen Top Relay Manufacturer
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Inc. ranked as the top relay manufacturer in a survey conducted by the Newton-Evan Research Company Inc. The study surveyed utility protection and control engineers and engineering managers from 99 utilities. SEL was chosen the top manufacturer in technology, price, flexibility to add new features, technical service and support, security against hackers, ease of use, maintenance cost and Web information.
American Water Names Utility Presidents
American Water Works Co. Inc., an investor-owned water and wastewater company, named Randy Moore president of Iowa American Water and Frank Kartmann president of Missouri American Water and Texas American Water. Moore replaces Brock Earnhardt, who retired in August, while Kartmann replaces Terry Gloriod, who retired after a 40-year career in the industry.
