The American Water Works Association in partnership with its corporate sponsors has opened applications for the 2026-2027 AWWA Scholarships. These scholarships aim to support future leaders in their pursuit of careers dedicated to protecting and effectively managing water.
Scholarship details
AWWA is offering 24 science, technology, engineering and mathematics scholarships to undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. students. The scholarship program is designed to help students launch careers in critical fields such as civil engineering and environmental science.
Students pursuing degrees in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- Engineering: Civil engineering, environmental engineering, agricultural or biosystems engineering.
- Environmental science and natural science: Hydrology, surface water hydrology, watershed management.
- Environmental science: Soil science, water quality, land use impacts.
- Marine sciences: Marine biology, oceanography, marine ecology.
