Canadian biofertilizer producer Lystek International has released the results of an in-depth crop trial completed during Ontario's 2015 growing year.The Cambridge-based firm uses low-temperature, low-cost thermal hydrolysis to produce biogas and a Class-A biofertilizer.In 2015, Lystek and the Georgian Central Soil and Crop Improvement Association participated in a trial comparing typical application rates of commercial fertilizer with LysteGro. The trials were conducted by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and each treatment was replicated three times at five different locations. On average, the LysteGro treatments increased yield by 16.5 bushels/acre when compared to commercial fertilizer treatments. LysteGro treatments also produced superior
