Editor's Note: Innovation was a big theme at WEFTEC 2014. We'll be featuring a few of the new and better technologies found in the exhibit hall at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Watch each day for the Innovation logo to learn more about new products displayed at the clean-water industry’s flagship exhibition and conference.

PeroxyChem displayed the VigorOx WWTII process for wastewater disinfection, using a peracetic acid-based formulation that provides an alternative to chlorination/dechlorination. The process does not yield disinfection byproducts such as trihalomethanes (THMs) and haloacetic acids (HAAs). The liquid disinfectant requires only a tank, metering pumps and analyzers. It is implemented by a dosing and control station similar to the hypochlorite feed systems in wide use.

The company’s offering includes chemistry, storage and dosing equipment, instrumentation and process control, training, maintenance and regulatory support.
