Editor's Note: Innovation was a big theme at WEFTEC 2014. We'll be featuring a few of the new and better technologies found in the exhibit hall at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Watch each day for the Innovation logo to learn more about new products displayed at the clean-water industry’s flagship exhibition and conference.

Pentair offered the Myers V2 Grinder Series single-stage centrifugal grinder and the Hydromatic premium-efficient solids handling pump for preliminary wastewater treatment.

The Myers V2 Grinder Series — built for simplicity and continuous service — has enhanced cutters with double-row bearings and advanced cutting technology that increases durability and absorbs axial and radial loads. Quick disconnect and an oil-filled 2 hp motor enhance reliability. Users can switch between standard and high-head flows with a change of impeller and cutter plate.

The Hydromatic solids handling pump is designed for low life cycle costs and easy maintenance. Its permanently lubricated bearings are maintenance free. Long life comes from a nontoxic oil-filled motor for efficient heat transfer and lower operating temperature.

The unit offers seal leak detection, and double-row bearings offer 50,000-hour life. Installation is easy with a terminal block that creates a positive connection with no connection box, wire nuts or crimp connectors.
