Active Mixing: The Unsung Hero of Water Quality

Active mixing is a powerful water-quality improvement tool that can help make water and treatment processes better, regardless of where you work in the water circle. This presentation will explore what mixing is and how we define it, why we need it and why active mixing wins out. From there, it gives an overview of water-quality and operational benefits as it pertains to certain scenarios in three areas: water treatment and distribution, wastewater collections and treatment, and lakes and source water reservoirs. We will also detail important considerations when choosing active mixing equipment.
