Rodney Spires of the Hannibal (Missouri) Wastewater Treatment Plant gives viewers a tour of the facility's laboratory and oxygen building

 

In this online exclusive video, laboratory technician Rodney Spires of the Hannibal (Missouri) Wastewater Treatment Plant explains the functions of an oil and grease machine by Horizon Technology as it processes a wastewater sample. Later, he takes viewers on a tour of the plant’s oxygen building, where it houses two Atlas Copco compressors and other processes dedicated to making pure oxygen for the digester and reactor. Spires recently won the Missouri Water Environment Association Laboratory Analyst Excellence Award.
