The Submersible Wastewater Pump Association will host its premier two-day Pumping Systems and Controls Training Seminar April 21-22 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago O’Hare Airport in Rosemont, Illinois.
For over 40 years, SWPA has delivered specialized educational programs that connect attendees with industry experts and provide deep technical expertise. This unique forum combines two of SWPA’s most successful training programs. Day one begins with a general session introducing “The Systems Approach” and a safety presentation before transitioning into interactive modules. Across the two-day event, attendees will rotate through nine hands-on troubleshooting programs led by SWPA member industry leaders.
The keynote presentation will be delivered by Tom Decker, a distinguished industry veteran whose career includes leadership roles at Brown and Caldwell, CH2M HILL, Parsons Corporation and Black & Veatch. Decker has previously served on the boards of the Water Environment Federation and the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.
The seminar is open to consulting engineers, designers, specifiers, distributors, wastewater operations personnel and all professionals interested in submersible wastewater pumping systems. Participants are eligible for CEU credits and certificates of completion for one- or two-day attendance.
he registration fee is $650 for SWPA Members and $750 for non-members. All attendees will receive:
- The newly released 5th Edition SWPA Handbook;
- SWPA’s Start-Up and Field Check Out Procedures Manual for Submersible Sewage Lift Stations;
- The Grinder Pump in Pressure Sewers publication; and
- A flash drive containing all seminar PowerPoint presentations.
The fee also covers all food events, including continental breakfasts, lunches and a welcome reception. First-time attendees will receive a complimentary 2026 SWPA associate membership, subject to board approval.
