YSI, a Xylem Brand, will host a webinar titled Safe Wastewater Monitoring in Hazardous Areas Thursday, Feb. 29, at 2 p.m. Eastern Time.
This technical webinar will explore online sensor technology tailored for hazardous zones in wastewater. Expert speakers will cover the classifications, applications, requirements and available sensors, including optical dissolved oxygen, pH, ORP, ammonium, nitrate, and total suspended solids for accurate wastewater monitoring.
The webinar is geared toward water treatment engineers, operators, instrument technicians and superintendents who want to learn more about online instrumentation and sensor applications.
You'll learn:
• How to understand the classifications of hazardous areas in wastewater as defined by NFPA Standard 820;
• How to recognize where hazardous areas occur in wastewater treatment plants and the requirements for these areas; and
• Which online sensors are available to monitor parameters in hazardous areas in wastewater.
This live educational webinar will be 50 minutes with 10 minutes slated for a question-and-answer period. After the webinar, attendees are eligible to receive a certificate awarding 0.1 CEUs (1 PDH) from the International Association for Continuing Education and Training.
Expert speakers for the event will be Adrienne Stenz, application development engineer at YSI, a Xylem brand, who brings five years of specialization in municipal treatment, instrumentation, and analytics; and Justin King, process instrumentation product manager at YSI, a Xylem brand, who offers experience in YSI's analytical instrumentation platforms.
