Gorman-Rupp is introducing its new line of 6400 Series end-suction centrifugal pumps. These pumps are ideal for handling clean liquids or liquids containing large solids in a variety of municipal, construction, mining, industrial and agricultural applications.

Based on the proven technology of Gorman-Rupp’s Super T Series self-priming centrifugal pump models, 6400 Series models utilize an interchangeable rotating assembly (excluding the 3-inch model and vortex impellers), eliminating the need to stock extra spare parts. They also follow the same shaft height and overall footprint, while providing a more efficient alternative for flooded suction applications.

Standard models are available in 2-inch (50 mm), 3-inch (75 mm) and 4-inch (100 mm) discharge sizes, with heads up to 140 feet (43 meters), flows up to 1,050 gpm (66 liters per second) and a solids-handling capability of up to 3 inches (76 mm). Impeller options include two-vane, semi-open solids handling; multivane and slimline for higher heads and efficiencies; and continuous, single-vane for heavy-duty pumping applications. In addition, pumps can be equipped with the Eradicator or Eradicator Plus solids management wear plate for liquids containing tough, stringy solids.

6400 Series end-suction vortex pumps are offered in 4-inch (100 mm) and 6-inch (150 mm) discharge sizes. Models can reach heads up to 139 feet (42 meters), deliver flows up to 2,160 gpm (137 liters per second) and are capable of passing solids up to 4 inches (102 mm). The straight-vane impeller is designed for more aggressive, abrasive liquids, while the winged-vane impeller is better suited for higher discharge pressures.

6400 Series pumps come standard with an industry-leading five-year warranty. Eradicator Plus models for the toughest solids-handling applications are equipped with a one-year warranty. All models are designed, manufactured and tested to deliver optimum performance and value for the long haul, according to Gorman-Rupp.
