Moisio named Jacobs’ global vice president and water market director
Jacobs appointed Susan Moisio as global vice president and water market director in the company’s People and Places Solutions line of business. She replaces Peter Nicol, who retired after a 40-year career with Jacobs. Moisio was formerly global solutions director for conveyance and storage at Jacobs.
Franklin Electric announces recipients for outstanding achievements
Franklin Electric held its 2021 Commercial Summit which included educational sessions and keynote presentations, and celebrated sales achievements for its U.S. and Canada water operations. The winners of the company’s awards are: Franklin Electric Salesperson of the Year, Alex Bracht, territory manager — western region; Field Service Engineer of the Year, Todd Hofstra, senior field service engineer — western region; and Team of the Year, northeast region — sales, field service, marketing and customer relations, Jim Sacriponte, Bryan Defoe, Dan Kolath, Robert Rufh, Tom Mitchell, Jennifer Ford, Ilse Gallegos, Jim Hartmann, Ryan Horner and Bob McClain.
Boshart Group announces leadership appointments, transitions
Gary Boshart, founder and chair of the Boshart Group, and its newly appointed CEO, Jeremy Kuepfer, announced leadership appointments and transitions in their North American operations. Kuepfer most recently served as the senior vice president of IT and operations. Kuepfer announced that as of March 1, Bo Andersson, who has served Flomatic for over 50 years, most recently as president, will transition to a new role as director of research and development for Boshart. Also effective March 1, Kuepfer said Nick Farrara will be appointed president of Flomatic.
Parkson acquires Schreiber’s assets
Parkson, a wholly owned subsidiary of Axel Johnson, acquired the assets of Schreiber of Trussville, Alabama. The acquisition will add complementary pump, headworks, biological and filtration technologies to Parkson’s portfolio. In addition, Schreiber’s Aftermarket Care Department will expand Parkson’s parts and services offering by providing a second dedicated facility in the Southeastern U.S.
Anue Water moving to larger facility
Anue Water Technologies is relocating its headquarters and manufacturing from Tucker, Georgia, to a substantially larger facility in the north Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, Georgia. In a company release, it states the relocation is due to record growth during 2020 for the company’s eco-friendly wastewater and other odor, corrosion and FOG control products, and the projected demand for these solutions during and coming out of the pandemic.
Arcadis earns Best Place to Work designation
Arcadis received a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index and was designated as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ equality in the U.S. This year’s score reflects a five-point improvement over last year and marks the second year that Arcadis participated in the nation’s premier benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.
Denali Water Solutions acquires Recyc Systems
Denali Water Solutions acquired the assets of Recyc Systems Southeast, a provider of transportation and land application services for industrial food processing residuals and municipal biosolids predominantly in Alabama and Georgia.
AWWA BOD selects Joseph Jacangelo as next president-elect
The American Water Works Association’s board of directors selected Joseph Jacangelo of Lovettsville, Virginia, as the association’s next president-elect. Jacangelo will begin his term as president-elect in June at the conclusion of AWWA’s Annual Conference & Exposition, and his term as president begins in June 2022. Jacangelo has been a member of AWWA for over 35 years and is an active member of the Virginia Section. He recently served as the chair of the International Council and is vice president and director of research for Stantec in Washington, D.C.
Endress+Hauser names new sales representative
Endress+Hauser announced Rust Automation and Controls as its exclusive sales representative in portions of the West region which includes California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and portions of Idaho and North Dakota. Rust Automation will also serve as Endress+Hauser’s exclusive authorized service provider for California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana and portions of North Dakota.
Victaulic acquires Waupaca Foundry’s facility
Victaulic purchased a 220,000-square-foot Waupaca Foundry manufacturing plant in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania. When operating at full capacity, the facility will increase Victaulic’s foundry production capacity by 70% in the U.S. and allow for future growth. The facility, including two foundry molding lines, will also enable Victaulic to produce larger-scale products.
SEEPEX appoints new manager of sales training
SEEPEX appointed Keith Hammer as its new manager of sales training and OEM development. In this new role, he is responsible for conducting, coordinating and tracking the training of SEEPEX sales personnel and channel partners. He will also be prospecting and evaluating new OEM relationships, including systems integrators, skid builders and others to further expand the SEEPEX market share. SEEPEX welcomed Hammer in 2006 as a territory manager for the Northeast region and in 2018 he became the environmental market manager.
Centrisys to provide sewage sludge thickeners in New Hampshire
Kenosha, Wisconsin-based Centrisys will provide three American-made sewage sludge thickeners to the City of Manchester, New Hampshire, for the Department of Public Works–Environmental Protection Division’s Solids Train Project. With plant upgrade design and support provided by the environmental engineering firm Wright-Pierce, the order placed with Centrisys consists of three THK350 sewage sludge thickeners and upgrades to all existing decanter centrifuge control panels. All units will be designed, engineered and built in the U.S., with centrifuge shipment expected in November 2021.
