A brand-new wastewater treatment facility was constructed for the community of Naples, New York, beginning in 2020. The facility was looking for a dewatering system that could process 300 to 400 gallons per hour of aerobically digested sludge.

The BDP 12 x 4 screw press was an ideal solution for this small treatment facility in central New York. The dewatering system was commissioned in September 2021. The screw press runs unattended, processing on average 5-8 gpm, producing cake solids of 20%. BDP provided a skid-mounted unit that includes a control panel, sludge pump, polymer system, flowmeter, booster pump and discharge belt conveyor.

The 12 x 4 screw press from BDP is a great solution for small plants with low flows. Its small, compact design makes it ideal for installations that also have limited space. The BDP screw press features include low wash water usage, low energy usage and limited maintenance requirements. All BDP equipment is built entirely in Greenwich, New York, allowing BDP to provide timely spare parts delivery and service call response.
