Rockwell Automation’s WECTEC conference exhibit presented scalable automation solutions to help municipalities reduce process variability, meet regulatory requirements, improve operational efficiency and achieve secure, remote access to information.

The company says its offerings are designed to help utilities delivering reliable, safe and affordable water by supporting smarter, more sustainable infrastructure. The exhibit showcased integrated control and visualization technologies designed to increase diagnostic and networking capabilities and enhance process control.

The company’s PlantPAx distributed control system helps provide secure access to information as the foundation for reporting, analysis and improvement. It also offers easy-to-use, plant-wide and scalable architectures, and cost-saving delivery and support tools.

In addition, smart motor-control solutions help increase efficiency and equipment availability. Meanwhile, mobility solutions help protect critical equipment through visibility to every device and user operating in an automated environment.

The booth also included interactive demonstrations from Endress+Hauser, a member of the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork program. The demonstrations simulated real-life process conditions and showed how new technology and instrumentation from both companies can help configure, control and connect water and wastewater operations.
