A contract worker died earlier this week after an electrical shock at the Kuwahee Wastewater Treatment Plant in Knoxville, Tenn.
Michael Tallent, 27, of Powell, Tenn., worked for W&O Construction Co. According to knoxnews.com, he was standing under electrical wires at the plant when he was shocked.
Kuwahee is the largest of Knoxville Utilities Board’s wastewater treatment plants, averaging 31 mgd. The plant was undergoing major construction for upgrades.
The Tennessee branch of OSHA is on site to investigate the accident.
