Arq appoints Jeanette McQueeney as VP of sales and marketing
Arq has appointed Jeanette McQueeney as vice president of sales and marketing. The Colt Group acquires Watertap
The Colt Group, a provider of on-line industrial leak repair and specialty mechanical solutions, announced the acquisition of Watertap, a provider of critical line intervention services serving utilities and contractors throughout the Great Lakes region of the United States. The acquisition establishes Watertap as a key regional anchor within Colt’s line intervention platform, enabling expanded service coverage across Colt’s current territories while strengthening operational depth and customer support. Founded nearly 30 years ago in Wixom, Michigan, Watertap is known for its technical expertise, reliability and rapid response, helping municipalities, utilities and contractors minimize system disruptions and avoid costly failures.  

Antigua opens second new Water-as-a-Service desalination plant
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority and Seven Seas Water Group, a multinational provider of Water-as-a-Service solutions, announced the opening of the Barnacle Point seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant. The second WaaS desalination plant inaugurated in Antigua within a year has a production capacity of 2 million imperial gallons per day and will serve communities in the island’s northwestern corridor. The plant is located adjacent to APUA’s existing Ivan Rodrigues desalination plant, leveraging existing infrastructure and enabling efficient integration. 

Stantec chosen to lead design of new IEUA facility
Stantec has been selected by the Inland Empire Utilities Agency to lead the design of a new pump station and 11-mile recycled water pipeline in the western part of San Bernardino County, California. This infrastructure will convey recycled water from the city of Rialto’s wastewater treatment plant to IEUA’s proposed advanced water purification facility in Rancho Cucamonga. The new pipeline and pump station will support the delivery of up to 10 million gallons per day of recycled water. 

Veolia Workforce Academy launched online
Veolia, alongside the Water Environment Federation and the American Water Works Association, launched Veolia Workforce Academy North America, a free fully digital workforce training and employment pathway program, designed to expand nationwide access to water sector careers while creating skilled jobs and strengthening the U.S. water sector. Veolia Workforce Academy North America, academy.veolia.us, removes barriers to entry for people to learn technical skills and prepare for the state certifications necessary to enter and advance a career in the industry.

ResinTech appoints Tony Knight as technical sales representative
ResinTech has appointed Tony Knight as technical sales representative for its regeneration services division. Knight will be responsible for developing and maintaining sales for that business unit across the U.S. with emphasis on the Midwest. Knight brings over a decade of combined technical sales and mechanical systems experience to ResinTech.
