The state of Iowa is suing Sioux City for submitting fraudulent wastewater test results, according to Iowa Public Radio.
The city’s wastewater treatment facilities, according to claims made in the lawsuit, only disinfected the water when operators knew samples would be collected by the state’s Department of Natural Resources.
