WEFTEC Report: Specification Rubber Presents Barracuda Gaskets

Specification Rubber Products introduced the Barracuda restrained joint gasket at WEFTEC in Chicago. The device is the first colored restrained joint gasket, according to the company. It is NSF-61 certified and UL compliant. The gaskets restrain ductile iron pipe, valves and fittings using a TYTON joint. They are available in EPDM, SBR, nitrile and FKM, molded in safety orange to allow visual confirmation that a restrained joint gasket is installed. Neoprene gaskets are molded in black.
