A police officer and a wastewater treatment plant operator were decontaminated and hospitalized after a peroxyacetic acid spill at the plant in Parsippany, New Jersey. According to officials, a valve broke on a 330-gallon storage container, and the acid leaked out. Police, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and a hazmat team responded to the incident.
