Renewable Energy Systems - Water oxidation renewable energy system

The AquaCritox system from SCFI Group uses supercritical water oxidation to destroy organic waste safely, while generating renewable energy and recovering valuable byproducts. The process subjects wet wastes to pressures of 221 bar and temperatures of 374 degrees C. Under these conditions, water density reduces, the solubility of organics greatly improves and the oxygen transfer rate to liquid is significantly increased. When an oxygen supply is added, a rapid and nearly complete oxidation reaction takes place. This generates thermal energy that can be harnessed for renewable heat and power and converts more than 99.99 percent of the organic material into inert byproducts with no hazardous emissions or odors. 800/890-7618; www.scfi.eu.
