ECO SMART STATION control systems from PRIMEX Controls provide a safe, energy-efficient solution for pump control using the latest in variable-frequency drive technology. The EnergyView Controller with kW Logix software uses an efficiency auto-tune algorithm that searches for the pump speed (Hz) that consumes the least energy per gallon of liquid pumped. Pump motor power is monitored by the VFDs and transmitted to the controller. No power meters are required. The auto-tune program accounts for the reduction in flow and head characteristics of the pump resulting from speed reductions to determine the best efficiency frequency (BEF). When the BEF is found, the pumps operate at that speed during every cycle.
