The Oklahoma Water Pollution Control Association recognized three employees at the City of Lawton, Okla., water treatment plant. Scott Golden won the Stapley Award as the most impressive candidate interviewed in water treatment. Lyn Kisner was named laboratory technician of the year and George Spicer was named newcomer of the year.

Dr. Yongheng Huang, associate professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University, received the Rudolfs Industrial Waste Management Medal from the Water Environment Federation.

The Atlantic Canada Water and Wastewater Association Silent Hero Award went to Floyd Anderson, Port aux Basques Water Treatment Plant operator.

Fayette County, Ga., hired Steven “Lee” Pope as water system director. Pope previously was special projects and compliance technical service manager for Rockdale County.
