Thompson Pump receives Two VMA Awards
Thompson Pump and Manufacturing Company was honored with two awards of excellence from the Volusia Manufacturers Association. The Manny Award for Lifetime Achievement in Manufacturing was presented to Kelly Seliga, director of finance. Seliga joined Thompson Pump in 1990 as assistant credit manager and has spent 35 years advancing through key leadership roles, including regional credit manager, credit manager, controller and now director of finance. The company also received the Best Practice Award Thompson Pump also earned the Best Practice Award for the second consecutive year, for its comprehensive Well-Being at Work program. This program is an employee-focused initiative built on five core pillars: employee safety, personal care, personal growth, physical well-being and mental well-being.

Richard Mest joins WQA as strategic affairs officer
Richard Mest has joined the Water Quality Association as Strategic Affairs Officer. In the newly created role, Mest will serve as a mentor and catalyst for strategic affairs across the association, but most specifically WQA’s business development strategy, government affairs and technical affairs.

Stantec to provide construction services for Carleton Place’s upgrades
The town of Carleton Place, Ontario, has started construction on major water and wastewater treatment plant upgrades, and design and engineering firm Stantec will continue its long-standing partnership with the town by providing construction services for the project. Stantec partnered with Carleton Place to shape its future by delivering a comprehensive master plan that provides clear guidance for growth, development and infrastructure management.

AqueoUS Vets expands rep network, names new VP of sales
AqueoUS Vets is expanding its manufacturers’ representation network by signing an agreement with R2O Technologies, an independent drinking water OEM representative based in Massachusetts. The co-founder of the company, Eric Russo, was previously employed by AV as the Northeast’s sales and business development engineer, brought on as one of the first representatives during the company’s national expansion. During his tenure, he supported Northeast drinking water treatment projects with their pressure vessel needs from concept through commissioning. The company also announced Harland Pond as its new vice president of sales. In this role, Pond will lead AV’s overall sales strategy, guiding both the internal sales organization and its network of channel partners. He will focus on driving growth through strategic key account programs, sales team development and enterprise-level engagement with national engineering and consulting firms.

BIO-UV Group strengthens leadership team with new appointments (Patrice Garrigues, Steven Brady, Jean-Philippe Picard de Muller)

France-based BIO-UV Group, a specialist in UV-, ozone-, salt-electrolysis- and AOP-based water-treatment technologies, announced three senior appointments to support and strengthen the company’s expansion across new and existing markets. The changes include the appointment of Jean-Philippe Picard de Muller as deputy general manager of BIO-UV Group, the promotion of Steven Brady to managing director of triogen in the United Kingdom, and the arrival of Patrice Garrigues as European sales director for the group’s pool division.
