AqueoUS Vets awarded contract for Minnesota treatment plant project
AqueoUS Vets has been awarded the contract for the city of Woodbury, Minnesota’s new water treatment plant project. Once complete, the facility will remove PFAS from groundwater wells used to supply drinking water to the city. The project includes the installation of 17 miles of underground pipeline, connecting Woodbury’s 20 wells to a centralized treatment plant. The plant is expected to be fully operational by 2028. Currently, nine of the city’s wells are being treated at a temporary water treatment plant and three additional interim treatment facilities at various well sites.

BP and Greasezilla partner to turn FOG into biofuels
BP and Greasezilla have partnered to turn fats, oil and grease into biofuel feedstock, helping to reduce landfill waste and promote renewable energy. BP and Greasezilla plan to build 20 to 40 sites with the combined capacity of the sites being upwards of 200,000,000 gallons of FOG input per year. Some BP sites will be standalone while others will be integrated with commercial partners or city wastewater centers. BP can purchase brown grease from new BP Greasezilla sites for BP refineries or BP-designated sites, or from Greasezilla’s existing network of facilities across the country.
Xylem acquires majority stake in Idrica
Xylem announced that it has acquired a majority stake in Idrica. Xylem Vue, which combines Xylem’s existing digital water solutions portfolio with Idrica’s technology platform, allows customers to address critical challenges such as water scarcity and aging infrastructure with real-time insights. Over the past year and a half, water utilities worldwide have deployed the Xylem Vue integrated software and analytics platform to optimize infrastructure, lower costs and adapt to new conditions.
NETZSCH Pumps hires Mark Hoke as regional sales manager
NETZSCH Pumps announced that Mark Hoke has joined the team as regional sales manager Northeast - environmental. Mark brings over 15 years’ experience in engineered sales. In his role, Mark will proactively support NETZSCH’s Northeastern distributors and provide essential training to sales partners’ staff on products, applications, commercial issues, company policies and operational procedures.
OZ Lifting celebrates anniversary, plans expansion
Winona, Minnesota-based OZ Lifting is celebrating 20 years in business. The manufacturer of davit cranes and industrial lifting equipment was inaugurated in December 2004 with two staff. Today it has 25 full-time employees, a distributor network across North America, and is preparing to relocate for a fourth time. OZ is planning an expansion into a state-of-the-art 40,000 square-foot facility on a five-acre property in Winona. The new building will be four times larger than its current home.
Franklin Electric appoints Mike Pimentel to senior management
Franklin Electric appointed Mike Pimentel to the role of senior business unit manager for industrial and engineered Systems. Pimentel will set the strategic vision for the segment, leading all commercial activities and supporting the needs and growth of Franklin Electric’s customers. Pimentel has worked in the pumping and irrigation industries throughout most of his 25-year career. He joins Franklin Electric after serving in various sales and management roles at Mitchell, Lewis and Staver, where he led teams across the company’s industrial, commercial and residential markets.
