Blue-White APFCL online chlorine and pH analyzer
Maintaining the correct balance of having enough free chlorine in the water distribution system to battle dangerous pathogens, but not so much chlorine that it spoils the taste and smell of the water is crucial. QED Environmental Systems’ new single-use Combo Core soil sampler is designed for field preservation VOC analysis and is set to succeed the Terra Core soil sampling tool. Molded from virgin-grade polypropylene, the Combo Core is the first tool from QED that carries the PFAS-free designation, making it ideal for the collection of soil core samples for PFAS analysis under EPA Method 537M. The system is also suitable for the collection of VOCs and SVOCs under EPA Method 8260 and EPA Method 8270 respectively. With Torrey Pines Scientific’s new EchoTherm Model HS40 programmable digital stirring hot plate, programming is done through the front panel membrane switch and full-functioned custom liquid crystal display. The unit can store 10 programs in memory of as many as 10 steps each where each step is a temperature, temperature ramp rate, stirring speed and time. Each program can be made to repeat itself automatically from 1 to 98 times or infinitely. All programs are stored electronically. Heater plates are 8 by 8 inches of white, solid ceramic glass for excellent chemical resistance and quick heating. The plate surface can be heated from ambient to 450 degrees C in less than 3 minutes.

Lutz-Jesco EASYZON L chlorine dioxide system
The new EASYZON L chlorine dioxide system from Lutz-Jesco deploys a reactor under vacuum conditions to mix chemicals. The technology reduces the complexity of the system while providing several advantages. By reducing maintenance requirements and the risk of outages and chemical leaks, it increases the safety of the entire process. Consisting of a reactor mounted in a protective cabinet, the EASYZON L chlorine dioxide system deploys a tested acid-chlorite procedure with commercially available chemicals such as 9% hydrochloric acid and 7.5% sodium chlorite. A special feature of the system is the vacuum mixing of the chemicals without the use of dosing pumps. The system generates a vacuum to draw in the hydrochloric acid and sodium chlorite. Working under low pressure, it reduces the likelihood of leaks and uncontrolled pressure increases that result from defective dosing pump.
