Nidec Motor vertical HOLLOSHAFT inverter duty motors
Nidec Motor Corp. totally enclosed fan cooled CORRO-DUTY vertical HOLLOSHAFT inverter duty motors are cast iron, and designed with full Class H insulating materials to withstand the steep-wave-front voltage impressed by the VFD waveform. They are designed to run smoother and cooler on inverter power supplies, which can lead to improved system efficiency and reliability. Previously only available as built-to-order, they motors are now available to purchase off the shelf. Schneider Electric arc flash isolation design
Schneider Electric’s ArcBlok technology in the Square DTM Brand Model 6 Motor Control Center is a new equipment design that is not just a barrier to arc flash events but helps to prevent arc flash causes from originating, extinguishing and containing the arc energy if they occur. Thermal sensors allow temperature monitoring in a mobile device while standing outside the arc flash boundary. Faster temperature readings can be done without the PPE normally required for infrared thermography. Zigbee communication protocols can be used to monitor main breaker operating temperatures on a wireless device. CETCO FLUORO-SORB absorbent for PFAS treatment
CETCO’s FLUORO-SORB adsorbent is a proprietary, NSF-certified product that effectively treats multiple variants of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. FLUORO-SORB binds the entire spectrum of PFAS, including PFOA, PFOS, PFHxS and PFNA, efficiently and in a wide variety of removal and remediation processes. It also controls the source of contamination and can be deployed easily as a flow-through treatment media, as a passive in situ treatment or used in a CETCO REACTIVE CORE MAT composite geotextile mat for sediment capping. It resists competitive adsorption from other water and sediment contaminants. Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group ReNu PU pumphead
The launch of a new pumphead designed for use with the Qdos range of peristaltic metering pumps has been announced by Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group. Qdos 20 with the ReNu PU pumphead offers repeatable flow of 7.67 gph at 60 psi for fluids of wide-ranging viscosity. Metering accuracy is assured to plus or minus 1%. The pumphead is designed to deliver maximum process uptime. There is no need for special tools and no requirement for specially trained on-site maintenance technicians. Apollo Safety Man Down/Lone Worker safety devices
Apollo Safety introduced an enhanced line of Man Down/Lone Worker detection devices from Industrial Scientific. Through its monitoring technology, when a lone worker falls and does not get back up right away, the system can trigger an audible, visual and vibration alarm back to out to a monitoring station, to a cell through text or email notifications or directly to emergency services. The system can alert responders and direct them in real time to a precise outdoor location or, if indoors, to the exact floor and room where an employee is located. Man Down/Lone Worker technology also features false fall detection, enabling the lone worker to cancel the pending alert before it’s communicated to monitoring personnel.
