This survey is completed by the local health department and is intended to ensure that all applied regulations — including record keeping, operator certification, approved treatment technology and source management — are met. The survey also includes an inspection of the finished water storage network and the quality control procedures used to ensure the public receives a safe water product. Ground water systems are inspected every five years, and a surface water source is inspected every three years.

The correct answer is: C) A sanitary survey.
