The 2014 Tnemec Tank of the Year has been awarded to Midland, Texas, for its intricate and creative oilfield-themed motif. For the second year, Tnemec opened up voting to the public in its annual Tank of the Year contest. After receiving 14,694 votes, Tnemec whittled down the tank nominations from 235 to a dozen front-runners.After carefully considering each of the top tanks, Tnemec chose Midland's 2-million-gallon composite tank, which is located in the middle of the T-Bar Well Field in Midland.
