Bioset process and drying/gasification process

Schwing Bioset Inc. offers communities two green solutions for biosolids management. The Bioset process converts the material into a beneficially reusable Class A fertilizer, and a drying/gasification process generates recoverable energy.

The Bioset process is an advanced alkaline stabilization technology. It can be easily retrofitted to existing plants and installed by the company’s installation crew.

The inert fluidized bed drying process can be combined with a gasification step in a new and innovative method for handling biosolids. Thermally dried biosolids from the SBI dryer are introduced into a gasifier from Primenergy LLC. The heat is then recovered and used to offset a major portion (if not all) of the energy needed in the drying step.

Additional benefits include a typical 95 percent reduction in the weight of the final material, and the elimination of the additional equipment normally required to treat the dryer offgas. Schwing Bioset also offers plant operations and beneficial reuse hauling and marketing services for the end products these technologies produce. 715/247-3433; www.schwingbioset.com.
