  • Service Awards: Kati Bell, Hazen and Sawyer; Tricia Kilgore, Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority; Thomas Maher, Southern Nevada Water Authority; Natalie Monro, Jacobs; David Sloan, Freese and Nichols; and Mike Sweeney, Toho Water Authority.

St. Petersburg, Florida, earned an Envision Award from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure for its Northwest Water Reclamation Facility Improvements Project.


Robert Stanley, senior engineer for planning and asset management for Arlington Water Utilities, received the Sidney L. Allison Award for contributions to engineering, science and operation and maintenance from the Water Environment Association of Texas.


The Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority received the Our Water’s Worth It award from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for reducing combined sewer discharges and cutting back on localized flooding.


H2M architects + engineers earned a National Recognition Award for achievement from the American Council of Engineering Companies for designing capacity upgrades to the downtown sanitary sewer system in New Rochelle, New York.


The City of Kingman’s Hilltop Wastewater Treatment Plant received Bronze certification in the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality’s Voluntary Environmental Stewardship Program.


Bill Tess, water utility director in the village of Edgar, was named the 2025 District 3 Water Operator of the Year by the Wisconsin Rural Water Association.


The City of North Bend, Oregon, recognized Ronnie Grout, wastewater treatment plant operator II, for 25 years of service.


The Town of Gate City Water Treatment Plant received the Gold Standard Award from the Virginia Department of Health for the 13th time in 14 years.


Dr. Karl Gregory Linden, chair of the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder, received the AWWA’s 2025 A.P. Black Research Award.


The Hendersonville (North Carolina) Water and Sewer Department received the third annual Sustainability Hero Award from the city’s Environmental Sustainability Board.


Henry Morgan, superintendent of the Faribault (Minnesota) Wastewater Reclamation Facility, retired after more than 50 years with the city. He started at the facility in 1974 and became the superintendent in 1997.


Ken Hayes, superintendent of the Pea Ridge (Arkansas) Water Utilities Department, retired after 20 years of service.
