Asahi wafer check valves

PVC wafer check valves from Asahi/America are now available in 4-, 6- and 8-inch sizes. The valve's body, disc and stopper assembly are machined from solid PVC plate stock that conforms to ASTM D1784 cell classification 12454A. The valve conforms to ISO 5752 face-to-face dimensions and is installed by slip-fitting it between two mating flanges. The valve body automatically centers on the mating flanges once the stud pack is installed. The 4- through 8-inch valves operate at up to 150 psi, 10- and 12-inch valves to 9 psi and up to 120 degrees F. 800/343-3618; www.asahi-america.com.

Roembke/ENDETEC water testing vial

The single-use, water test cartridge and automated monitoring system from Roembke Mfg. & Design, ENDETEC and Engel Machinery North America is designed to reduce processing time for microbiological testing to 2-18 hours, depending on level of contamination. The water test cartridge features overmolded rigid plastic and optical grade LSR (liquid silicone rubber) in an automated production process. The test cartridge leverages a two-shot mold and subsequent robotic transfer into an integrated assembly cell to complete six processes outside the molding area and puts them into a box ready to ship. The automated microbiological testing system includes built-in incubation, optical system, user interface with interpretive software, and test cartridge for the detection of E. coli and total coliforms. 613/533-3321; www.endetec.com.

ELAN Technologies level calibration tool

The QuickCal level calibration tool for water and wastewater use from ELAN Technologies has a 26-inch tapered aluminum ruler with 0.01-inch and 0.1-inch markings alongside an inset indicator strip. The ruler comes with an 8- to 16-foot extension pole, enabling it to be lowered into the flow and removed. No confined-space entry is required. The gray strip turns black when wet (it won't wick), providing an easy-to-read line for water level. Level increments correlate directly to primary device tables and flowmeters without the need for decimal conversion. 815/463-8105; www.elantechnologies.net.
