FLIR i-Series infrared camera

The i-Series (i3, i5, i7) point-and-shoot infrared cameras from FLIR capture thousands of calibrated temperature measurements for a complete thermal picture that shows where hot spots and other heat-related problems are. The durable cameras can withstand a 2-meter drop. 866/477-3687; www.flir.com.

Watson-Marlow chemical metering pump

The 520RE high-pressure chemical metering pump from Watson-Marlow is designed for applications that require accurate metering, dosing and transferring of harsh chemicals. The pump delivers flows to 55 gph and pressures to 100 psi. The 520 series eliminates ancillary equipment, including dampeners, degassing valves, strainers and check valves. 800/282-8823; www.wmpg.com.

Automation Products Group digital pressure gauge

The IP65 rated indoor/outdoor PG10 digital pressure gauge from Automation Products Group has a 5.5-inch display casing, five-digit display with 0.68-inch characters and 270-degree digital dial or radial bar graph that displays a user-selectable pressure range of 0-100 percent. Features include tare, peak hold and max-min readings, as well as user-selectable units of measure and auto-off timer. Options include two solids-state relays or SPDT mechanical relay outputs for basic to semi-advanced automation. The gauge has an operating temperature range of 0 to 160 degrees F and pressure ranges from vacuum to 500 psi or 0 to 10,000 psi. 888/525-7300; www.apgsensors.com.

Universal Flow Monitors vortex shedding flowmeters

Coolpoint vortex shedding flowmeters from Universal Flow Monitors Inc. have no moving parts, eliminating the potential for clogging and feature Intrinsic Safety on 1/4-, 3/8-, 1/2-, 3/4-, 1-, 1 1/2- and 2-inch meters. The 4-20 mA three-wire transmitter features brass body with Viton seals and PVDF sensors. Available in pipe sizes from 1/4 to 4 inches, the meters have a 10:1 turndown ratio and three-digit LED readout, selectable alarm state (N.O. or N.C.) set point or pulse output and choice of gpm or Lpm. 248/542-9635; www.flowmeters.com.

TruBlue submersible level transducers

TruBlue submersible level transducers from Measurement Specialties measure water level and quality. The transducer has an 8 MB internal memory and can store up to 55,000 level and temperature measurements. Its internal 3.6-volt lithium battery with onboard surge protection has a 5-year lifespan, based on four readings an hour. Sampling modes include linear, linear averaging and event, with programmable sampling rates of up to five per second. The transducer is available in full scale water level ranges from 0-11.5 to 0-658 feet (5-300 psi) and has an operating range of 32 to 122 degrees F. 800/328-3665; www.trublue monitor.com.

Russelectric circuit breaker-type switches

Medium voltage (5-15 kV) circuit breaker-type switches from Russelectric transfer loads between normal and emergency power sources and can be configured for open- or closed-transition transfer. All switch functions are controlled by the RPTCS programmable microprocessor-based control system. Designed for unattended operation, the switches include controls for manual operation. UL tested, listed and labeled under UL 1008A, the switches are approved for legally required emergency power systems and meet or exceed IEEE, NEMA and ANSI standards. 781/749-6000; www.russelectric.com.

Sierra Instruments thermal mass flowmeter

The Chlorine-Track 760S thermal mass flowmeter from Sierra Instruments is designed to measure solution for chlorine injection processes. Made of Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride resin (PVDF), the meter is corrosion and chemical resistant at both ambient and elevated temperatures. PVDF also is abrasion and flame resistant. The meter has a flow range up to 300 scfm in a 4-inch body. Features include digital display with instantaneous and totalized flow and digital Modbus RTU option for PLC/DAQ integration and analog 4-20 mA output. 800/866-0200; www.sierrainstruments.com.

ECD ammonium pIon sensors

MVS10 and MVS17 ammonium pIon sensors from Electro-Chemical Devices measure the activity of “free” ammonium ions in concentrations from 0.1 to 14,000 ppm over a pH range from 2 to 8 pH. The sensors have a temperature operating range of 32 to 104 degrees F at pressures of 0-50 psig. MVS10 is an insertion- or immersion-style sensor for use in pipe tees or on the end of a stand pipe for immersion into a tank or pond. MVS17 has a valve-retractable design that enables it to be inserted or removed into a pipe without interrupting the process flow. 800/729-1333; www.ecdi.com.

Yaskawa Z1000 variable-speed drive

The Z1000 variable-speed drive from the Drives & Motion Division of Yaskawa America Inc. is designed for building automation applications such as fans, pumps and cooling towers through 500 hp. Features include LCD operator with Hand-Off-Auto functions. An internal real-time clock with time-date stamping and timer controls allows for speed variations without the need for external controls. A built-in 5 percent line impedance reduces input harmonic distortion, while a 5 kHz carrier frequency with dynamic noise control provides quiet motor operation. 800/927-5292; www.yaskawa.com.

Morgan Technical ultrasonic sensor

Ultrasonic sensors from Morgan Technical Ceramics ElectroCeramics can withstand harsh environments, providing continuous operation in pressures up to approximately 232 psi and temperatures up to 248 degrees F.
