The holidays are here, and with them come clever parodies, well wishes and more from wastewater and sanitation districts across the country. Perhaps your team posed for a holiday picture, wished your customers Merry Christmas via social media or maybe even lit a few trees in front of your treatment plant. However you’ve chosen to express the season, we hope a little holiday joy crept into your daily routine.

Whether you’re working a holiday shift or enjoying time with family this week, we hope you enjoy this little break from seriousness. Take a few minutes to check out how other utilties have reached out to the public on social media during the holidays.

And to all of our hard-working readers, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy holiday season. Thanks for another year of readership. We couldn’t make Treatment Plant Operator magazine without you.

UU Gave to Me
United Utilities in the United Kingdon has posted a video each day during the 12 days of Christmas, featuring some type of wastewater-themed accomplishment. As of today, that list is up to Day 10, which includes 10 fish a leapin', all thanks to clean water efforts. Check out Day 10 and all of the other clean-water accomplishments on UU's Facebook page

12 Clogs of Christmas
From Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District comes this parody devoted to a clog-free holiday.

O Love Your Pipes
The NEW Water staff in Green Bay, Wis., sent customers this holiday social media message, set to the tune of "Oh Christmas Tree."

If your plant has created something equally clever, drop us a note. We'd love to hear more about your public relations efforts and what you're doing to spread the word about clean water. Email us at editor@tpomag.com.
