More than 200 wastewater operations and maintenance professionals will compete in Operations Challenge 2012, a fast-paced skills competition held during WEFTEC in New Orleans. Now in its 25th year, the event will take place Oct. 1–3 at the Morial Convention Center.
This year, 38 four-member teams will compete in two divisions. They will be judged on the best combination of precision, speed and safety. Winners are determined by a weighted point system for five events: collection systems, laboratory, process control, maintenance and safety.
