A 57-year-old man was seriously injured July 24 when he fell from a ladder while working at the Metro Wastewater Treatment Plant in Nashville. He was working on the cleaning and decommissioning of a sludge tank when he fell into the empty, covered tank. The Nashville Fire Department’s Hazmat Confined Space Rescue unit was summoned to remove the worker, who had fallen about eight to 12 feet, according to WTVF-TV in Nashville.
