Officials representing five cities along Great Bay in New Hampshire asked Congress to intervene on strict U.S. EPA nitrogen discharge limits for their wastewater treatment plants. Seacoastonline.com reported that representatives from Exeter, Portsmouth, Newmarket, Dover and Rochester testified before the Congressional Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which hosted a hearing titled “EPA Overreach and the Impact on New Hampshire Communities, held at the Exeter town offices.
